Word Study and Comprehension Techniques on Expository Text

Abstract

The following research examined the use of word study and graphic organizes on a student with a specific learning disability. The student participating in this study has completed the 5th grade and has received special education support in the areas of speech and language and reading and writing expression. This study took place over the summer of 2010. The research was completed in a period of 6 weeks with intervention occurring for one hour and a half two times a week.
