Abstract

The goal of this study was to obtain an understanding of how to use stories as an educational strategy may help novice nurses feel prepared to care for families experiencing perinatal loss. Nursing theory supported storytelling as an educational strategy. Death education that included stories from nurses who have cared for families experiencing a perinatal loss, helped novice nurses feel prepared to intervene.
