Abstract

The purpose of this paper was to investigate the area of mixed dominance as it relates to the gross-motor skills of primary, school-aged children. Research Questions: What are the separate functions of the two cerebral hemispheres and how do they relate to each other? What are some of the popular beliefs regarding mixed dominance? What is the effect of mixed dominance on gross-­motor skills? What are some of the approaches used to aid in establishing lateral dominance and do they improve gross-­motor skills?
