Abstract

In order to determine the effects of the label "learning disabled" on the acceptance of a student, the review of the literature covered research studies in two basic areas: (1) the acceptance of educationally handicapped students by their teachers and peers, (2) the effect of labeling on teacher and peer attitudes toward the educationally handicapped.
