Abstract

The problem of this study was to investigate the recreational reading habits of third grade children. The specific problems related to this study were: 1) What type of books do third grade children choose for recreational reading? 2) How many books are read by these children? 3) what area of interest was selected most frequently as a first choice by girls; by boys? 4) What area of interest was selected most frequently as a second choice by girls; by boys? 5) What area of interest was selected most frequently as a third choice by girls; by boys?
