Abstract

It was the purpose of this paper to determine the readability of six current sophomore biology textbooks according to Fry's graph for estimating readability. Pages dealing with heredity, botany, zoology, and ecology were selected for readability evaluation. Important physical characteristics of these six books were also compared.
