Abstract

It would seem that if a correlation is made between birth order and intelligence...a connection might also be found with reading achievement. If it is assumed that intelligence is an important factor in reading achievement, and if birth order and family size can affect intelligence, it then seems logical that we hypothesize that reading achievement may be affected by a child's position of birth.
