Mainstreaming in education; Children with mental disabilities--Education

The primary interest of the writer in this review of research is the educationally handicapped child as an individual learner and his place in the general educational system. It is hoped that such a study will support the conviction that, through professional diagnosis, suitable remediation can be effected within this system. The current trend toward individualization provides many new avenues which can prove to be of great benefit in the effort to recognize and meet the needs of the educationally hand1capped.
