The problem investigated in this study involved a comparison of instructional methods used with two children who show a variance between their potential, as measured by The Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale for Children and their academic achievement. These children exhibit many characteristics that may affect their ability to learn. The writer attempted to assist these students to develop competency in reading skills and comprehension.
