The writer is concerned about these youngsters who are deprived of entering the world of reading. It is with interest and earnestness that she begins her investigation in reviewing pertinent literature in identifying children who show indications of failure and how to use preventive steps to remedy or reduce the number of reading disabilities at the primary level. A second major consideration is to explore the fields of research depicting how paraprofessionals, reading readiness programs and parental involvement can reduce reading disabilities in the framework of the present school system.
