The present study was an evaluation of a tutorial project under the provision of PI 89-10, the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. The project was conducted at Mount St. Joseph Horne for Girls, San Francisco, California. Mount St. Joseph is an open setting, treatment-oriented institution for dependent and neglected girls in a large urban setting.
