The purpose of this study is to try to determine, by examining results of past and recent research studies, the effect of planned instructions in the visual perceptual skills on beginning reading achievement. In accordance with this purpose, the study had the following specific objectives: 1. to determine if visual perceptual training affects Kindergarten and First Grade reading. 2. to gather from past and recent research ideas that can be implemented in the school curriculum.
